One person was killed and another injured late Saturday night when a car burst into flames after crashing into a utility pole in Westchester.
The crash occurred around 10 p.m. on Pinebrook Boulevard, a residential street just east of New Rochelle High School.
The crash brought down power lines onto the vehicle.
The name of the victim, a male passenger, has not yet been released. The injuries to the driver, also a man, have been described as serious.
